The धातुपाठः page lists all the 2000 dhatus of Paninian grammar, along with various पाठभेदाः । Each dhatu is listed along with its कौमुदी number, its meaning in three different languages (Sanskrit, English and Hindi), and other basic information about the dhatu, like the पद, गण, कर्मकत्व and इट्त्व.
The button with the down-arrow symbol on the left side of the title bar allows the reordering of the dhatus either in the numeric order or alphabetical order.
The left side manu shows the filter functionality, which allows selective filtering of dhatus based on multiple criteria, like गण, अन्तर्गण, पद, इडागम and many others. Each filter gives a unique URL which can be bookmarked.
The search box can be used to search the dhatus in multiple ways, such as —
Using the root E.g. पठ्
Using a verb form, E.g. पेठुः
Using the roman transliteration of the verb or the verb form, like
likh or likhanti.
Using the meaning of the dhatus, like
गतौ, जाना or to go
Each dhatu is clickable and will take the user to the individual dhatu page. The individual dhatu page lists the dhatu forms in all the 10 lakaaras, in कर्तरि, भावकर्म, सन्नत, णिजन्त and यङन्त prayogas and also a few kridanta forms. In addition to that, it also shows the change in the meaning of the dhatu due to various उपसर्गाः. The "प्रयोगाः" tab shows the usage of various verb forms in literature. Clicking on many individual forms in the कर्तरि section will also give the detailed derivation (प्रक्रिया) for deriving that form starting with the original verb.
